Definitely should. Get followers that are related to the niche of your websites, that is how you will have the most success in twitter marketing.

I agree with the social site info, but I find the best traffic is still the hardest to get: se. That can only be done with hard work, sorting out keywords and never ending, constant new material being added.

I started and have 8 followers...I'm still trying to grasp the real point of Twitter...It's an odd concept.

Just two bookmarking sites is not enough, IMO. It's easy enough to post to 15 - 20. Are your daily updates usually the same type of content? If so, why not mix it up with an interview with someone in the financial community? Not sure exactly what you do, but maybe company profile articles or such?

Do press release and yahoo answers, make a new free blog and write article, do classified, and whatever you do it should be of quality and very relevant.

I have to agree with the above posters that Twitter.com is a very effective marketing tool. Add a lot of people to your "follow" list and network with them. Make sure you add your website url to your profile too.

Also, try ezinearticles.com and squidoo.com works great too. There are limitless ways to promote your blog, but most importantly is that you take action.
