Try to submit your link in feed directory list...and make your on page....in popular social bookmarking site...like ning, squidoo and others...you can also promote your website...from social networking sites...

do you make your own videos or havethem made , or find them eslewhere? not sure i have the capabilities to create decent videos

I use video blogging because there is such a wide range of videos on youtube. You can find just about anything you want. Whether its about hunting, hiking, camping or digital photography, its on youtube - and people watch.

For my targeted audience, I decided to go the video blogging route and it has paid off big time for me. If someone sees my videos on youtube, and then goes to my forum, they are 65X more likely to create an account then people that found my forum through google search results.

As for my blog, I take the videos I post on youtube and embed them into my site.

As a partial result of my video blogging, my forum has grown 10X faster then my competitors. The blog does ok on traffic, but the videos are linked to my forum and are water marked with the forum name. When I post a video watermarked with my blogs address, and a link to my blog in the video description, my blogs traffic goes up.

If you want an example of a news blog on youtube, go look up Travis and John. If Travis and John can be powerful players on youtube, anyone can. You just have to find your "groove".

have you tried making Squidoo Lenses? It is also a great way to promote your site/blog. Create quality lenses there and try to optimize it too.

I also tried EntreCard when I started my first blog. It gives me traffic, specially if I am EC jumping. You can try it. but for now, I removed because my sites are already found on search engines. I do the usual search engine optimization stuff, that's why.

Are you targetting any particular area or globaly.

If any targetted area means give the full finance informations, statistics details with image presentation, related with that area.

If you are concentrating USA means put the financial information about all states in usa.

Note : Enhance your content promoting styles.

concentrate the low traffic keywords.

Twitter can be an extremely effective way to get the word out, but you need to be careful. First, don't spam--just post interesting content and try to build up your brand name and authoritative voice. Second, be careful with how many people you follow or unfollow in a day--I've learned from personal experience that Twitter gets trigger-happy when it comes to suspending accounts

Your blog content does really matter. Give the crowd what they want and if you can do it consistently people will visit you and will visit you continually if the blog really caught their attention. Have you tried Squidoo? Good luck!
