I have done the best with article directories. They build plenty of good backlinks that can really help you rank much better on the search engines.

Ask other bloggers if you can be a guest poster in their blog. They will help you get backlinks, and search engines love backlinks.

you can get more then you can afford from your unique content and you dont have to update your content daily if you have a nice "web apps install at your web and with that apps.people can find "experienced in there "virtual travel"

If you are going to submit articles, make sure you don't use the same article too many times on different article submission websites. Search engine crawlers like originality, and if there are too many repeated articles, search engines will lower its rank.

Have you tried making a lot of friends on Digg.com? I find that helpful when I digg a site because you'll get a lot of people to see it, and some of them will digg it for you.

make good and unique posts, and get some good backlinks. if you do this you will start getting traffic from google within 1 month.

I think you should go for an intense link building exercise to direct traffic to your site. You can do blog posting, forum posting, directory submissions, bookmarking and such others.
