Website population and popularity
My website healthy-ojas.com was started on September 2008, almost 10 months completed. The web site is about diseases (diabetes, cholesterol, blood pressure, eye defects and sleep disorders) and its treatment by modern and alternative medicine. The site has more than 200 pages, home page has page rank of 3 and Alexa ranking is 5 lack 50 thousand. But I am receiving only 35 visitors per day.
I am struggling to increase the population, page rank, popularity and request your valuable advice and guidelines.

What are the marketing ways you have done for the past months? If you find it not effective then it would be best to change your strategies and do other ways.

Hmmm... a health site, that's a good niche but very competitive.
You should first check if you've done proper optimization for your site. If you don't know SEO, then this would be the right time for you to start reading articles/tutorials about it.
After you're done with your On Page optimization, better start quickly with link building. It can increase your ranking for targeted keywords, the higher your ranking will be the higher the traffic you're gonna get. That's why a lot of people target "top1" in SERP.
Adding a blog or two can also help, there are lots of interesting health articles out there that can really drive traffic, and possibly sales, to a health site.

In order to increase your traffic, do some SEO. Make sure that SE bots can easily crawl your site.
Also, try to add some excellent content in your site. This will help your site to get some natural backlinks.

Sometimes, the site niche also matters in gaining visitors to your site/blog. This what they called "seasonal visitors" - But if you like to gain more unique visitors, better hire an SEO Specialist to have better results at your site.
On the other hand, so what SEOs do. such as Submissions (article, rss, directory etc.), forum posting and social bookmarking.
I do recommend you more participating in social networking site that has the same niche plus sharing discussions in medicine related forums to gain unique visitors.

What I mean in "seasonal visitors" are those visitors that only visits you site in a certain season. For example: If you are having a Beach related site, then probably visitors will look for this site in summer days. Those visitors only needs your services due to the season.
