Hi i'm a super noob. Just started my own blog site and I was wondering how I set up back links. I've been posting simi regularly. I'm set to start posting weekly and with better content also. I bought Web Designer 6 hoping that it will allow me to expand my site and I hope I can still use word press. Anywho, How do I set up backlinks?

You mentioned that you was posting regulary. What type of posting do you mean?

Forum posting, blog commenting...etc

By doing the above i mentioned, you may or may not get any backlinks at all. It still is a good way to get your blog out there in the open but focus on writing fresh content on your own blog a few days a week.

Submit to social bookmarking sites, do guest blog posts on other blogs in your niche. Take a look around our Blog Promotion section for further tips.

A few basic steps would be to bookmark it on some social bookmarking sites, post some comments on other people's blogs, submit it to blog directories, etc.

This is how I'm doing it.

Step by step:

1. You write your content and it has to be of High Quality and provide real value. Make sure your writing about something that people are searching for and make sure you solve the problem in your content.
   
2. Set up a Google Alert on the keyword(s) you're targeting and just wait until an Alert notifies you about content found matching your keyword.
   
3. Go to where the alert came from and share your knowledge and show your guide that solves the problem, this way you fill the web with great content by helping people out and you contribute to the community in a good way.
   
4. Your website will also receive SEO benefits in a non spammy way.

It's a win win for everybody!
