What is the best way to promote my first blogging site? Topic is very competitive(tech, gadgets) but it is fun topic.

Well i think You should exploit the social bookmark systems. I think You can improve the number of visitors, and SERP rankings easily

You can start submitting it to the many blog directories made available to start picking up some backlinks. And a Bagi Zoltan mentioned, with your blog being about tech and gadgets there are some social bookmarking sites you could look into. You could also comment on other related tech and gadget related blogs.

Commenting on other blogs is a great way to spread your link around - as long as you don't spam. Make thoughtful, interesting comments, and at least the blog owner will visit your blog

See that your blog is not so new (12th June 2006). That means it should already do pretty good, don't you think? Anyway, try promoting it as you'd promote a normal website. What about some email (opt in) campaigns? Post in message boards... etc.

I agree that you promote a blog pretty much the same way that you would promote any other type of website. Article writing and submission is one of my favorite methods.

I would say the most effective way to get started on a new blog is posting comment and sending trackbacks - you not only add content for your blog, but also get an inbound link!
