Is there a one stop blog directory?
Is there an easier way to submitt your blog to all the directories at once?
I am doing it the hard way, can anyone help?
Thanks

You can pay someone to do it for you. That's the only way I know of. The only one stop blog directory where you would only have to submit once is if all of the blogs you are submitting to are operated by the same person or group of people. Then the chances in gaining much benefit from it would be much smaller.

Ya.. you usually have to pay someone else to do it the hard way... or you can do it the hard way yourself for free! Sorry, I don't know of another way either.

I can suggest a tool that I use. It costs $10 per URL or $50 for unlimited. It's an alright tool, worth the money I think. It's called digixmas directory submitter, and you can find it at digixmas.com. It semi-automatically submits your site to 547 directories, albeit most of the directories are PR0, there are some that are up to PR5. Using this it takes me about 4 hours to submit a site to all the directories.

Well, typically when you submit to a directory, they will send you a confirmation email. When I submit using digixmas, I usually get about 50 emails per 100 submissions. That's about the same when I submit manually. So I'd say it's not for pretend.

You have to be kidding me. Really? You seriously have to do it one by one?
C'Mon.
OK then, if someone subscribes to my RSS feed , and applies it to the service of their choice, am I automatically, indexed into that service?

Website promotion isn't a quick easy job. In fact, after you spend 20 hours a month submitting to all the new directories that show up on the internet, you have only completed a small part of the promotion of your website. There are still the more important tasks, like finding websites that are relevant to your content that are willing to link to you. With a little bit of money, you can make this task much easier on yourself.

Website promotion, Im ok with, but it seems that there are so many directories that cater specifically to blogs, as a subset.
Is it really worth getting in all of them or are the top few fine?

I'd say no. If you can get into a selected few good blog directories, then that's great. But I think that the best promotion you could do is targeting similar sites. If you are going to put any amount of time into promoting, then it'd be best if the sites were relevant to yours. IMO.

Thanks for all the good tips. I really have a blog for clients to read, but if I can attract outside readers and maybe click through, that would be good too.
It seems blog writers, are also most of the blog readers, and my subject would be of no interest to them.
Thanks for the help.
