The art of Blogging!

Hello fellow marketers,

My name is Krystal and i am starting to learn how to blog, it seems like it is a little complicated but i am slowly learning how.

I was wondering if anyone out there could give me some really good advice on how to make a blog get a really good rating so it is seen by many online visitors and attracts sales.

Stick around and look around, Check out other's blogs....it's really hard to know everything at first , but as a group, they really stay on top of it here. I still find myself answering basic questions that I should have known by now.

Best advice I can give is Blog something that you know and love...then it doesn't feel like work, and you never run out of ideas. If you blog just for money, you won't make any, until you have passed the learning curve.

Make sure your blogs are interesting and different from all the others around if possible.

I definately agree in blogging about something which interests you as your content will tend to be much better

Dude! I love that Avitar! Between your and mine we could get a club going in this thread.

That is a good point! Don't try and enter into a saturated field like SEO your first time around. We have enough.
I saw a little snipet on MSNBC that says, if you average it all out based on the number of blogs there are, the average blog gets 1 reader a day.

your blog has to be rich with quality posts.
Also promote it by joining bloggers communities and submitting to blog directories.

You can also create and submit articles related to your blogging topic. Use the anchor text in your bio box to target your site based on the keywords that you are interested ranking high in.

Make your blog searchable, include content on mainstream, write something that create debate.

Make your blog contents interesting...choose a topic that interest you and that you think interest other people....make your blog seen by many by impoving your link popularity....having a good/informative contents will surely help a lot as others might link to it...and updating in regularly...

Your posts doesn't always have to be informative and well-research, sometimes meaningless/unimportant (but funs) out of the blue things is also good. lol.
I prefer reading blogs with contents of those types.

I'm going to have to disagree. To be 'found' you need to learn how to network. But here are some other blog promotion tips from Darren Rowse.

You can make the greatest blog ever known to mankind (whatever that means) but if people can't find it anywhere nothing will happen.

I say you need to get some good posts under your belt before worrying about anything else. No one is going to want to go to a blank blog.
