Getting noticed - easy ways?

Hi,
I have a PR4 blog, [link removed] - I have done the regular "promotion" tricks - like submitting to directories, leaving comments on blogs etc, but the number of visitors to the site has plated, sort of. I want to take it to the next level, and get 1000+ visits a day (is that too high a goal?)

I have tried and succeeded with stumble upon, but I have no clue what to do now... do you have a trick, or technique for me to get more regular visitors, new or old?

No tricks, just networking. One network is not enough. I've heard of people doing wonders with mybloglog, others gaining more with spicypage and others getting enough targeted traffic from digg (especially those who blog about cool stuff, widgets, gadgets, fun)...

I can't find the post, but I think Darren once posted about outter-blogging.... or something like that (can't remember what he called it) but basically getting out and visiting other peoples blogs more often, and commenting. AND being the first to comment each day on their new posts is supposed to help drive traffic too as people in interested about who's commenting.

No tricks or technique, just do the usual seo process. Social Bookmarking like stumbleupon can help regular visitors for your site, try to do the social network or invite friends to view your blog. There are other social bookmarks site such as digg, netvouz, delicious and a lot more that can help for your site. Participate or join in the blogger forums with your blog signature.
