Are there any free classified ad sites for bloggers to place their site on? I am looking for ways to promote my blog.

I believe what you are talking about are directories, and there are hundreds of them.
Maybe someone will do a drive by and post a few for you, I don't have a list readily available.

You can join blogging communities like myBlogLog. They can be a great place to promote blogs.

Free classified ad sites for bloggers? I think you are pertaining to BLOG DIRECTORY SUBMISSIONS. Well, try to submit it Directory Critics Directory. Then, you can also submit it to blog friendly bookmarks like propeller, digg, ka-boom-it, etc.

I have found submission to directories to be useless because for the most part the people hired didn't take time to submit to appropriate categories for the topic matter and that did more harm to the website than good.

It is far better to submit to quality directories in a fewer number than do a large number of totally irrelevant directories and with low PR rank.
