Some traffic can give a crazy idea, that can be interesting for some people who will post an entry in their blogs. For starting you can spread rumors with reddit, truemors, digg and other digg clones (there are lists of digg clones - use google to find them). I've used such strategy to promote my <url snip> project.

That seems true. My blog is listed in google and yahoo already, all i've done was submit to Jayde and ping Ping-O-Matic every time I update (this is probably a very good idea to do often).

Innocent webmasters will always survive. It just a matter of how much time you are willing to invest in order to get to the earning level of your dreams.
