This is always a contentious issue because, at least in theory, they should get crawled in the same space of time. In my experience Blogger is faster. I don't know the reason - maybe because since it's a Google product they 'know' about the creation of new sites quicker.

for blogs in blogger.com or blogspot.com so i'll say Blogger script can not be customized to max extent as wordpress blogging software.......
And if u consider Blogger.com and Wordpress.com Wordpress.com pages and blogs are allways on top of google search.....than in blogger....b'coz of inbuilt SEO by wordpress.com

Based on experimentation, exploiting wordpress' tags and categories certainly boosts your blog's ranking up at Google. Blogger is also easily crawlable by Google but it's not as flexible as wordpress when it comes to SEO. In short, you can exploit wordpress more and use it to your search engine advantage.

I guess if you host your own wordpress, wordpress hosted blogs definitely gets indexed better.
But for blogs created between wordpress.com and blogspot.com.. i think Blogspot's on top.
That, basing on my experience..

The quality of the content inside a blog is far more important than the script that you use. Anyway, I would go with WP in this scenario.

Does google really prioritizing their own business/site? I think it depends on the quality and content of your blogs for you to get ranked weather you will use wordpress or blogger.. But for me i prefer to use blogger like poksa said that this is a user friendly unlike wordpress.

I don't think they do any personal favors for their own sites either.

you have a point," business is business" if that would be the principle of
google, not bad...of course they want to get the trust of people.....but it doesn't mean crawling faster makes your blog popular i still believe the quality of your content will be the basis...
i also use blogger...i am using blogger b'coz i trust google

Blogger is good if you want to start a basic blog and share your story with the world.
Wordpress.com supports categories, blogger.com does not.
If you like to do a lot of experimentation with your template, blogger.com gives a direct access to your template, Wordpress.com does not. With blogger.com you can have your own template, with Wordpress.com you can not. The reason apparently are realted to security concerns. However, the other side of the story is that whatever modifications are possible at Wordpress.com, they are a lot cleaner and you do not have to redo it all over again, simply because you decided to change your template (ask me!). And a lot of additions, deletions in the sidebar are still possible. Creating links in the sidebar, for example. You can simply define the category and add links to them. You won’t have to redo it with a change in template. While with Blogger.com, you must manually change the template code with html and then redo it with a template change. Any customization of blogger.com template requires some minimal knowledge of HTML. Wordpress.com provides nice interface. But if you just want the control over HTML of your blog, well go for blogger.com!
(WORDPRESS FREE DISCUSSED OVER HERE, THE SELF HOSTED ONE IS THE BEST)
I personally would go for Wordpress, its easy and simple to use.
