Yahoo groups can only be a source of traffic. But be sure not to spam yahoo groups. Join yahoo groups related to your site and be active on their discussion. This will help you to attract visitors to your site.

of course chow and it should always, a blog actually is faster indexed by google then a normal website,

you can write some interesting about your main site and promote your blogs and that is.

to promote your blog, submit your stories to social news site e.g. digg.com, stumbleUpon, myspace, facebook, propeller, reddit, flur.net simpy etc etc. ..
