First of all, if you are going to blog, keep in mind, it is difficult to write about something you are not interested in to others and at the same time make it seem interesting. The topic you choose to blog about should be something you are passionate about. One of the things that can make or break your blog is the content. The content of you blog should be unique. You want to write for your readers. Also, since most people who cruise the internet do not necessarily read everything that gets posted, most people tend to scan web pages. Therefore, you need to be mindful of headers and subheaders in yoru content. Another thing to watch for, which should be obvious, is your spelling and punctuation. Also, make sure that your topic is interesting and useful to people. Don't want to bore them to death with mundane discussions on topics that are uninteresting. Lastly, spend some time researching the topic prior to writing it.
I agree. I knew keywords were helpful for submission of your website to the search engines, but it did not connect that this was also true for submitting your blogs too. Thank you for your helpful information.
Monhunter,
Are you saying that I can post my blogs in the comments of other blogs? Is that ok? I won't get in trouble for spamming or anything will I? Please let me know because if I can, this is good information to know. I am new to the arena of blogging so I want to learn as much as possible.
Thank you Cricket. I will make note of this for future use. I recently created a blog, my first. My next task is to improve my writing skills. Working as a software engineer for so many years, writing ain't our thing.
Hey Qurratulain, could you please tell me what is meant by getting reviewed? How do I do this? Sorry, I am new to network marketing so I have a lot to learn.
Again, this social bookmarking subject. Could someone briefly explain what this is and what I need to do to do social bookmarking. I ask due to time constraints. I don't have the time at this time to do the research. Otherwise, I figure it out over the weekend. After all, this is a long weekend.
When you find a blog that is interesting and is similar to your subject, offer to write a review of their site in exchange for one from them. I do that. I try to find those who have a higher PR than I do but I will do the review for others anyway.
social bookmarking: shared bookmarks at places like digg, del.icio.us, technorati and other such places. There are a number of them. For instance, on my blog, I have links to these sites. When I want to share a post outside my blog, I click on the link, put a brief paragraph from my post, title and permalink. I submit it to the site. It gets published there and people come to see what the shouting is about. There is another place called Thoof that brings in traffic. Similar but they have a badge to put on your site.
Hope that helps.
Jaz
EDIT NOTE: When you submit to those bookmark places, they will allow you to put tags in. Be sure to use that.

Hey but if we cant write more posts very frequently it will be good if we write each post with more words. That makes people not bored to wait for our new post. If we write small posts then readers who are already visitors will think that we are not providing much interesting content and finally leave our site.

I think that depends on the subject matter. I write both short and long posts. From what I've seen, most people read the short. Some read the long ones. If they're really interested, the long ones keep them. If not, only the short posts get read in full. Just depends. So, if you only write once in a while, you might want to write something that will make them come back no matter how often you write. They can subscribe to you through the RSS feed.
All of you have some good and interesting advice. I am going to have to learn more about the subjects you have presented here and apply them. I will probably look more into social bookmarking this weekend; which is when I will be updating my blog.

By getting reviewd I actually meant either buying or exchanging review at some advertising or marketing blog (recommended, as these are highly optimized) or personal or other niche blogs (search if they are strong ones).

thanks for sharing...
Google advertising blogs, or search them in blog directories (try general directories as well, like alive, aviva and v7n) and then contact the blogger. You can also request for such on webmasters' blogs.
But Mit, I am still learning and my background is in computers. I don't have a whole lot of experience in writing. I do believe that most people who are currently good at writing good content, probably did not start out that way. I am just going to have to do the baby step thing here. As long as I practice, I will get better; I promise.
