How to increase technorati authority.

I am having a blog and even though i am posting good content i am having still authority 5 only. How will my authority increase. give me suggestions.

Get more incoming links.... have other blogs linked to your blog, I suppose that's how you gain authority.

Technorati authority is a bit of a gimmick ... it's just derived from the number of other blogs that link to yours. As suggested, try to get more links from more blogs.

What is does authority means in Technorati? I have 11 authority on it.

Make your blog popular.. Linking to related blogs from technorati...

Don't really know the function of authority, probably it works to determine Technorati Ranking. As far as having authority is concerned, it's all what people said earlier, depends on the number of blogs linking your blog with them.

Write good, controversial content that is link worthy. The people that link to your blog / articles, the higher your authority rank will be. Authority is also known as blog reactions, that is, other blogs that have linked to your article or blog in one way or another.

Technorati Authority is the number of blogs linking to a website in the last six months. The higher the number, the more Technorati Authority the blog has.

It is important to note that we measure the number of blogs, rather than the number of links. So, if a blog links to your blog many times, it still only count as +1 toward your authority. Of course, new links mean the +1 will last another 180 days.

The best way is to make a good theme and circulate it to get backlinks

That's a nice nice of information. I didn't know about the 180 days thing.

All you have to do is to Link exchange and Technorati favourite exchange. The former takes some time to get a good rank while the technorati faves give u an instant results. Go to some bloggingforums and link exchange. Every blogger is willing to have link exchange. I think u will take some 1month time to get good rank

Exchange carefully, best is blog with higher ranking and around the same themes as yours.
