My blog and no visitors

I created a blog about a week or so ago and I did ping it using different ping sites, yet when I review whether any visitors have seen my blog, I am seeing no visitors. Is there anyway I can increase the number of visitiors. I have just learned about Social Bookmarking, which I will look into setting up this weekend. Is there anything else I can do to help my lack of visitor problem. I know I am not good with blogging now, but that will change in time. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Well, let me ask you a question. Why isn't your blog feed in your profile here so it shows up under your name when you post in the community here?

Social bookmarking is a better idea if your blog has a unique content. I suggest that you promote your site to forums or online community site with a group of people.

There are many ways to promote your blog just do some SEO or take some SEO professional who can bring about 200+ unique hits per day in no time.

Hi,

I just recently started a blog like you (and I won't post the URL here as I am not a URL spammer) and while I am waiting for the SEO things and links to kick in I find that most of my traffic comes from Digg.

If you write an interesting post, submit it to Digg, ask a few friends to digg it as well and you will start to get traffic.

Is you blog in Google index yet? Have you claimed you blog at Technorati?

OK, here goes. Cricket, I noticed your blog, but I could not figure out how you got your blog to show up in your profile. I looked into it and gave up. I'll try again today. I will start my social bookmarking this weekend and I think Digg is one of the better known sites for social bookmarking, am I correct? Anyway, I have already created an account with Digg and setup my profile. I just need to add my blogs, etc.

Well, there's a lot of things you can do to promote your blog and drive traffic.

I would suggest article submission method. Write articles about things that related to your blog and have a link to your blog at the end of that particular article.

Then, submit it to as many article directories as you can.

Budin, I started today doing just that. But, I didn't include my blog url. I see there is an area for where you can place information about you and your url, but I didn't like how it presented my blog information, so I took it out. I will look into this at a later time. I have 10 more articles I want to get submitted to different directories.

Very under-estimated by lots of bloggers to gain traffic; Submit your feed to the feed directories, etc.

Sometimes it takes a while for people to see your stuff. If you're good they will come, it takes time. You will see it come trickle in little by little.

If you don't do pinging, submitt to Digg ect. they may never come. My Blue Jays Blog has been a big success so far, and brought traffic to other sites drom cross marketing. Go to www.addthis.com and add a widget to the blog.

You may write some article to upload it in the famous article site and add your link there. People may surf your site after read the article. Or else post a msg in other people blog and ask them to share commend tour blog too
