You can add header image, again you can add graphics in blog content.

I do suggest you submit your blog to social bookmarking sites, there are lots online, you can google them up and check their page rank. Also, you can submit it to blog directories.

I think the best way is to submit your blog to several blog directories.. Just make it sure that your blog has a nice and creative design. The content should be unique and informative to make it stands out among other blogs.

Everything mentioned here will work, some may take longer than others.

My most successful is social bookmarking and backlinks.
