First of all i am sorry to all if i post in the wrong thread. please forgive me.
I am new webmaster and i have to learn a lot of things. for promoting my site i done 1000+ directory submissions. now i am willing to do socialbookmarking i have a list of some socialbookmark site
such as

http://clipclip.org/
http://realestate.netscape.com/
http://www.hyperlinkomatic.com/
http://www.fungow.com/
http://tag.zurpy.com/
http://thinkpocket.com/
http://norequest.stumbleupon.com/

but i have no idea about this.
can anyone teach me what is social bookmarking?? and how can i use social bookmarking sites for promotion of my site?

social bookmarking is a process of saving and organizing your articles in a web pages where you can share it to other people worldwide..

you can use social bookmarking site by embedding a code on your site and if you want to bookmark one of your post you can just click the button or the link and then you will just add the URL, title, and also some description about the said articles..

The List is a good one. There are many more. Someone else may like to provide a more complete list or you may search at v7n elsewhere.

social bookmarking will drive traffic to your site temporarily but you can make it permanent if you do it regularly...you can make your site popular also when you do social bookmarking.

Well, also consider adding more bookmarking sites like; Yahoo My Web 2.0, reddit, furl, digg..

What does your site all about? If your site contains good article you can submit it on social bookmarking site. But be sure not to spam the bookmarking site by submitting tons of article in a day.
