Historically, Google has been my primary steady source, though in recent months it's been Stumbleupon (I have a story that they seem to like). I used to be a Google News source, which was also a nice source, but then they realized my site is a one-man job and un-sourced me. Other persistent sources include Snopes.com and a few blogs.

almost all of my blog traffic comes from people typing ARGUS TATTOO in google. makes me giggle a bit.

Most of my traffic comes from other blogs (Trackbacks,Links, commet links etc). A significant portion of that also comes from those with Blog Power Ranking Lists. (Like 45n5's) They are traffic magnets those blogs.
Then i'd say Google. Odd time Social Bookmarking beats those 2 out but thats normally just a temp spike in traffic (For me). I also get a fair bit of traffic from entrecard as well. Whether or not many stop to read though I don't know.

I just recently put together a list of 27 power ranking lists covering all forms a niches. I've found good traffic from these types of Blog Ranking lists maintained by other bloggers. Sure most of you are on some of these as well. 45n5, Adage Power 150, The Biglist etc. Even being last drives traffic. Everyone wants to check out the newb!

Dont think Ive ever had any traffic from directories, yet I spent forever and a day submitting to those things! lol

Stumbleupon, Google Image Search, Twitter, Google, Links from bigger blogs all make up the majority of my traffic. Notice I added Google Image Search, because it works.
