promote your blog + avoid spam

hi,
i started simple site 23 days ago ,bloggersmosaic.com something similar to milliondollarhomepage, its like 2008 version.
the spam thing is, everytime i go to forums linkshare section, post asking people to review, or talk about for free 4ever spot (i have 250 free spots)
i find someone contacting me, saying its like spam ???
plus other thing and correct me here i used to c reply to posts like this

mike
dfsdgdfg.com"

is this now consider spam when you leave signature?

and if you comment on someone blog ,who doesn't have site link ,is it ok to say

i like your post ,kool blog

bloggersmosaic.com (n't link?)

will someone answers my wonder ,because i don't wanna end with spam reputation,

It's "usually" considered spam when you make a post about your own site/sites. Different rules for different forums though. Signature links are not usually considered spam as they are a way of telling the reader about yourself.

To try and equate this to real world etiquette, Sig links are like saying Hi my name is Bob.....conversation....by the way here's my card so if you want to keep in touch you can. Spammy posts take the conversation out of the post. Many forums also want you to have a certain number of posts before posting your sig link so that you at least provide some value to the community before getting to talk about yourself.

Bloggers don't like it when you make posts like that. The best thing to do is try to create some type of value to the post by posing a question or something of this nature. Hope this helps you.
