Yes i agreed, Once you update your blog ping it once. You can ping every page but for the day you update the post.

I only ping the blog every time that I was doing an update but mot to every post I think wordpress have a built-in pinging tool or something that it is automatic to ping each time a blog was updated.

WP does have a built in pinger, but you need to configure it to point to the pinging services you want to use.

I like Pingoat for all the services it sends to. using multiple ones would likely just result in duplicate pinging going on.
