How can I generate traffic effectively?

Hello guys, I have this blog and I added google adsense in it. Can someone help me.. What is/are the perfect way/s get some traffic to your blog...

Can I do free classifieds submission?... But my blog is about history of jeans and the only advertisements it has are the google ads..

I don't know what to do..

create some good content concerning JEANS if that is your niche. create content every once in a while and post it to SB sites everytime you have done one.

I already did that but traffic from social bookmarking sites are very minimal. And though I gain traffic from SB sites, they're just interested on the content and not on the advertisement.

how about adding more adsense to your blog, I could only see one and if you position it better, you can get more click outs for it.

You are right, I am planning to fix that factor. I just have no time.. I also think its about the template. I plan to rearrange the gadgets there and redesign it. I just hope I can put all my plans to reality asap..

The placement of your adsense code is another good factor to increase the number of clicks of your google ads. Try to focus also on its color scheme.

This is your main problem... you are blogging for ads, not for content.
First of all, you need ot have some good content (not ads). Make sure your blog is indexed, and ranks as high as possible. Submit your best articles to social bookmarking sites.
Once you have a lot of good content and you are indexed, visitors will come automatically... If you have a lot of visitors, they will click on your ads.

But if you keep focusing on ads rather than content, you blog will fail!

Classified ads submissions isn't that effective. Have you tried a keyword research about your niche? Target a keyword. Make it rank on the SEs. Organic traffic should be the kind of traffic that you need to target.

And oh, regular update of your blog can really help.

Write good articles and post them in social sites and forums . Allow search engine to find your contents . Results won't appear in 2-3 weeks ..So patience !! patience is what you need.

You may also join different social networks specifically for women, lifestyle, etc

Create more contents and start targeting your keywords
