Bloggers: Why do you blog?

Its the BEST way to SHARE your stuff with your fellow and FANs. I share my new stuff and my follower tell me if there is something I can improve.

I love writing. And I love to be read, so I blogged. I also want to be published someday and I think blogging is the key. However, in the process, I learnt how to earn money through it. So I blog to express and I blog to earn.

Besides the fact that I got asked to write some stuff down quite a few times, I blog to get experience. Not only as a writer or reviewer, although this will definitly help me in the future, but more so as an SEO-er. I currently basically suck at SEO, but I have learned a great deal since I first started my blog, and I am still learning every day. I think that this in addition to other basic computer and internet skills can be very helpful in finding a job in the current market.

And...well...I enjoy it

I started blogging because I liked writing--period. It was a way for a wannabe writer such as myself to write and self-publish. I would write about anything I was passionate about and just had to get out of my system. I find writing to be cathartic.

Now I have a few blogs.

One other blog I have is treated like a support site for another, proper, website. The blog has background information and additional material for some of the stuff on the other web site. That way, the website proper remains lean and relatively free of extra material, but if anybody needs the extra material, they are directed to the blog.

And then there is the blog in my signature. I started that one just to try a blog relatively focused on a single topic, instead of being a mish-mash of everything that enters my head.

Because when you use Wordpress the way I do it can make a very good platform for a multipage website, and has a lot of authority with Google = better rankings!
