How Many Comment do you get daily?

Hi all I'm currently analyzing some data and I need help. I want to know the average number of comments you get daily. Please include your PR and niche. Thanks in advance.

Typically 1-5, unless we have a published story on Digg or other bookmarking site...

A lot of spam but other than that out blog is not that developed and we are not getting comments daily more like monthly we'll have one or two.

In December I was getting an average of 9-12 comments but I had a few problems and now its down to 1-3. I will just have to refocus my effort to get them back up to a higher level.

Mine is a new one, amirmullick.com, and I havent been getting any comments, but once its big and running I think it should get many comments daily.

I just recently relaunched my blog in a completely different niche, so I will have to get back to you on this one when I start receiving comments.

On my old niche, I used to get around 1-3 comments a day with about 2 spam ones outside of the actual human 3. Blog was then a business and internet marketing niche.

Is now a webmaster, seo and web development blog.

One my blog, I do not allow comments. When I post an article on my site, its linked up to a post in the forum. All comments must be posted in the forum, and not on the actual blog.

I host my own wordpress sites. On the templates I have edited out the comments sections. And I have disabled new members from being able to register on my blog.

Gotta love the nights where you get a massive spam attack against your blog. I had one last night...over 500 comments awaiting moderation this morning, all of them spam.

They all came from China and Russia too.

This is the exact reason why I do not allow comments on my blog. If someone wants to post a comment, I let the security of my VBulletin forum weed out the spammers.

You need to set up Askimet. I have it set to automatically delete my spam so I never see it. Every long once in a while one gets through but that is rare.
