Full Name or Anchor Text?

When you comment on a blog, do you use your full name or an anchor text?

I just recently made a requirement on my blog, that all users that wish to leave a comment must enter their full name and not a keyword anchor.

I've seen a few blogs do this, and even had someone comment on my blog and used their name out of respect for their own rules.

^Good question. I used my full name whenever i would like to comment something. But If there is a URL/Website/Blog then I'll post my URL.
In reality, most do leave with their keyword as their names which annoys every blog owners. right?

Well I'm currently doing this as a test to survey whether or not having to use real name instead of anchor will increase or decrease the amount of comments I get.

Forcing people to use their real name decreased my amount of comments by quite a few. I even got some emails asking why I was forcing it.

I mostly leave my name instead of an anchor text. Anchor text sometimes, tend to result or be suspected as a spammer and not a contributor.

24 hour survey? That should depend on your post. Why not try it for a week? And make updates every now and then.

I'll be interested in hearing your results. I usually use keywords, the comments I leave are useful and relevant though not spammy.

I leave keywords as well. But I see to it that my post relates to the topics I commented.

It's more likely for me to be marked as spam if I used anchored text or a keyword instead of my lovely name even though my comment contributes to the post.

Well what i'm a regular commenter on blogs and i use my full name. But for others its their own wish whatever they want to or what they are interested in using. But i prefer using my whole name

I found people adding their site name in the Anchor text as well.

I think it somewhat depends on how popular you blog is. If you have zero comments, really can't afford to be too picky.
It looks better and less spammy to use a real name and just use you anchor text within the reply if any html is allowed.

I usually use anchor text just because it helps to rank higher and most blog owners don't care.

I use anchor text but most blogs doesn't allow the use of anchor text. But there are time that those blogs are not moderated.

yeha it depends on how the blog is set up. Many wordpress blogs allow you to pic your name...

sometimes I use my name and sometimes the keywords for my blog.. if a blog requires to write the name instead of the keyword then I'll put my name on it...

I use both anchor text and full name but most of blogs does not allow to put a anchor text In that case you can put the full name. People always use their keywords as a anchor text.I think both are effective. It depends on that blog where you make comment.
