Do Any Of You Use RSS Feeds On Your Blogs?

When it comes to the content you are going to be displaying in your blog posts, do any of you folks actually utilize 3rd party RSS feeds and just run your blog using these?

When we launch our affiliate program shortly we are thinking about offering hosted RSS Feeds whereby you can include our RSS feeds in your blogs and any sales you make to our products from the posts get credited to your affiliate publisher account.

Has anyone here already started using rss feeds to populate their blog posts from any affiliate or publisher programs?

One of my sites uses an RSS feed from my forum to display the most recent forum post.

I also have a few Ebay product feeds setup.

Besides that, I do not display any other feeds.

I offer some family friendly feeds such as MSNBC Family, BBC Health, Families.com as well as my own feeds from mainsite and blog just to give my visitors and members something else to do when visiting. I do not however use any RSS feeds to create content pages onsite with the only exception being my own news and blog article snippets fed to my forums for member discussion.

I never did consider feeding my forum topics to my news page and may have to visit that further as it's a pretty good idea IMHO.

I do use RSS feeds on a couple of sites but they are not blogs.

You concept has merit.

Using RSS feeds is good for building content and changing it up regularly to entice search engines but keep in mind the real people coming to your site is where your earnings come in. If all of your posts click to another site via the feed then you are losing that visitor through a non-paying link and they have no reason to return to your site.

The exception being if the feed is a hosted affiliate RSS feed that actually carries your publisher ID through all of the links on the posts.

This is what we're actually putting together right now for our publishers to use when we launch in a weeks time

Oh absolutely. I must have read over what your purpose was. The concept works for the big boys like ebay and amazon so it should work for others.
What is your product/site?

We are actually still in the process of putting our wellness affiliate program together but are hoping that by the end of this week we should be ready to launch.

We're pretty much just waiting on affiliate publisher tools to get completed right now until we're ready for launch, we've actually been beta testing our sites for the last 3 months and have seen some exceptional results that we're looking forward to seeing our affiliates match.

I will shoot you a PM later this week if you are okay with that and send you over a link to our program

I use RSS Feeds on my blog. I recommend you to use Feedburner in your RSS. It has RSS features that can help your blog.
