wordpress to wordpress.com
I hosted a blog on my own hosting but now i want to move my blog to wordpress.com i just download xml file from export and import in my wordpress.com blog but it show me only one post :-s

any one guide me whats wrong?

Why would you want to go from self-hosted to WordPress.com? That really limits your freedom, and seems like a step backward, no?

I am agree with you.
i know some my online friends who has transferred WP blog to self hosting and some has all ready setup WP on self hosting. so it's not good to transfer self hosting on WP Blog.

Try exporting an XML file again, then re-import it on your Wordpress account. Maybe something happened (i.e. network issues) during the download/upload process

Your only going to get your posts and comment when you move...thats all....you will have to set up the theme/widgets/edit and CSS, reinstall Analytics/webmastertools...all that jazz!

But why move it back to wordpress....you miss out on a ton of stuff. ever notice that no wordpress hosted blogs show up in search engine results!
