Can I use a different search results page rather than the default in Wordpress?

I would like the search results page to be in a specific category.

i.e. mysite.com/category/?s=searchterm

Can anyone give me the run-down on this. I'm fairly proficient with wordpress, but this has been giving me a headache. Obviously, I can't simply put the category in the <form> tag, like this: <form method="get" id="searchform" action="<?php bloginfo('url'); ?>/category/">

I've asked this question at a few other places with no response yet. Perhaps one of them will get a response:

Thanks, that's a great plugin. Unfortunately, it still doesn't let me change which page I want the results to appear on. I'm still looking for someone to explain the code behind this.
