You can get good amout of taffic on any topic if you bring value to your visitors and put yourself to the readers’ perspective

If you're really up for blog traffic, blog for "how to make A LOT of money"!

But honestly, blog about a topic that you would still have the passion to blog continuously for the next 3-5 years. Passion is more important!

Yes, Blogging is not just for traffic purposes. It must be informative and it was done with your own knowledge in order to make it catchy to all readers and searchers.

If you have great content in your blog. It means huge traffic to earn. But it depends also on how you promote your blog.
