You can password protect each wordpress post using wordpress. When you create a post, on the righthand side of the gui, you can select save as draft, publish, make private. Right under that is "visibility." You can select "make private." if you don't want to do this for each post, just get a plugin that locks all your content to the outside world. btw, you don't want google to crawl your private posts, otherwise, what's the point of having a "members only" post if everybody will be able to read the cached version on google?
