Updating WordPress
About three years ago, I started tinkering with a WordPress blog on my web site. Then I neglected it, and did all my posting on my blogspot blog. I would now like to get back to the WordPress blog, add a theme, and get more serious about blogging.

However, I have a few questions first.
For example, should I update the WordPress installation? I mean, in the three years since I first installed WordPress, perhaps some security holes have been plugged, enhancements added, etc.

And, if so, how do I know what files need updating? If I just run the install program with the latest version, is it smart enough to know exactly what files to update?
