Is it better to have your blog associated with your website, perhaps even part of the website such as www.website.com/blog, or to just have a blog whether it's connected or not? Perhaps a link on www.website.com taking the visit to www.blog.com...

I do both of them... I have a domain.com/blog/ and a blog.com. I haven't experienced any downside of having so, only I have to create different contents..

I got uncharacteristically sleepy last night and had to crash, but I'm looking forward to my continued reading of Cricket's ebook "SEO Techniques"! It covers my very question and tons more! I had no idea it existed until Hype pointed it out.
