How many columns do you use on your blog?

Just a simple question, as I'd like to see what people prefer for columns.

I've always used the defaulted 2 column setup for my blogs (content | sidebar).

What do you use or prefer?

I generally use 2 also.

The 3 column ones people seem to clutter the 3rd column with ads and stuff.

I'm on the same page as you dWhite. sidebar for random stuff and some Ads. i would try doing 3 columns - 2 sidebars and 1 content but i've grown to love 2 columns and my 300x250 ad spot :p

I agree with you Basic.

2 columns is perfect because in the second column you can sell banner ad space or add a like button, +1 button, twitter button...etc

Example is the problogger blog.

I use a 2 column layout, mainly because 3 column seems to clutter the site.

For a long time I ran a 3 column site, but finally switched to 2 columns.

I personally prefer 2 column because for me, 3 columns are a bit filthy look.

2 columns are way better imo. I prefer a right sidebar with a top menu. 3 columns are just too tacky and cluttered looking.

I find three columns the best option. Nothing is overloaded with information. However it is just a subjective opinion

Where do you put your content? I think you meant you use a 3 column design.
