blog burnout?
So a lot of folks lately seem to be looking for blog posters.
Why?
Because of time issues or just plain blog-burnout?
I noticed when I first started mine it was a challenge to add to it because I didn't know what to talk about, but lately it's been flowing a lot easier.
What about you guys? does it get easier or harder?
given, I've been blogging for less than a month so MY experience doesn't really count. but for those of you blogging for a while now...?

what do you mean "looking for posters"?
and as a person who has had about 5 different blogs over the last 3 years, you do get burned out. That's why my other 4 our not online anymore.
The trick I think is force yourself to post. after awhile you keep that rythem going... kind of like trying to start eating healthy or working out... seems like a good thing at first, but once you get to the point of "ahh, not again" you may want to stop or slow down. if you push past that (the few times it comes back) I think you find the end result even more addicting and rewarding.

sounds familiar. Whenever I go snowboarding or weight lifting I try to end the day at a point where I know I've pushed it pretty hard, but I'm still hungry for more. I'm feeling the same way about the blog... Even if I've got more to post I figure I'll end it hungry for more, so I don't run out of fresh material or get bored

I've noticed a number of bloggers looking to hire blog writters for their blogs so they can gain blog posts without having to blog post on their blog themselves.

It can get difficult to think of things to blog about and having writers block is a nightmare as we all only know to well.
I try and troll news websites and rss feeds and if there is something related to my topic then it will get a mention on my Blog.
JuggoPop is right you do get burned out and it is already bad enough adding more content for your main site but I suppose its all about what topic you write about.

@dustin
1. where is your blog feed? why haven't you attached it to your profile?
2. I think when people look for contributors they are needing people to help out where they can't. For example, I was working a full-time offline job, and I got online about twice a week and I had an itch to have a blog... so after putting it online I found a friend that would update it with new news whenever he found any. He had fun and I got to read a cool blog I invented. Also, sometimes, you want to gather the strength of many professional opinions to make a blog truly read worthy.

Quite a few of the "blog poster required" requests I've seen are from folks who're monetizing their blog - looking for ways to keep the traffic & search engine interest, without having to spend too much time. A few have been reciprocal arrangements (building a network)

I've been blogging for over 4 months now, try to do at least one a day. Somedays it's too many things to do, some days I don't get ideas - so found a couple of ways to keep it up.
1). As Juggopop says, force yourself to post. It's like brushing your teeth or having a meal; something you MUST do.
2) Look at other blogs on your topic; use a reader, or set up a bloglines account. You can find something interesting, and it gives you good karma since you're linking back.
3) While surfing the net, if you come across anything interesting, bookmark it. Some days I find a lot, some days none; the days there are none, I go back to the bookmarks.
4) Think of a topic that you'd like to write about; that gives you an opportunity to put up quite a few posts forming a theme.

I make one post a day minimum, and enjoy posting. I love travel, so it seemed sense to create a travel blog. I don't understand why people pay to post for them, if your not enjoying it, or don't have time, don't post.

I think it depends. Sometimes I get busy with stuff and don't post blogwise or forumwise. But that isn't good - because people who come here want answers to their questions and I have a responsibility to see that we find those answers.
But if it's a personal blog, I'd say, yeah, post when you feel like it.

I know what you mean John.
I have a growing readership, and I went 9 days without posting because I was busy on my main business - had a flurry of emails asking where I was and when would I be posting again.
I now make sure I post regular to keep them readers interested

well when I first posted this I was thinking that leaving a blog after one post per day without posting more.. even if I want to, was a good idea. I was thinking it left me hungry for more... now I'm rethinking this.
I think whenever I get a sudden wave of emotion/motivation I'm going to go ahead and type every possible blog post I can, and then just wait to publish them.
