For a site that is more than just a blog you might want BLOGCMS. Give you forums, photo gallery, and wiki in addition to your blog.

Not really a blog but a CMS, Land Down Under (LDU) and Seditio are my favorite ones. Why? The PHP code is awsome and it makes it a great system to customize easily for small and big websites.

Definitely wordpress.

I'm using wordpress for my webmaster blog, and also developing a wordpress powered arcade site and an mmorpg guide site at the moment.
