Wordpress and php code?

I'm not a "php coder" and I am not super skilled in the ways of wordpress... but I have a bit of php code that I want to include in my blog and it just trashes my site and doesn't load the way it supposed to.

anyone know how to add blocks of php into wordpress layouts and make them work??? do I have to use includes or what?

You need a plugin that lets you parse PHP, I use it for my Wordpress themes download counter.

Is that for putting it in the post only? I need to run it in my sidebar...

I am sure it will work in the side but I am not sure, it says it's for posts but you can try it in the side.

He's got links to 2 other plugins as well, maybe one can be adjusted to work in the sidebar, I am going to play with the code a bit and see.

I keep trying things and it jacks my sidebar up and displays errors...

Hi JuggoPop,
You should be able to add your PHP into your theme without incident. What is the error you're receiving? I may be able to help point you in the proper direction.

After reading your post I went back and looked... I was missing some files, and it had nothing to do with wordpress.

oh well... atleast this topic is now covered
