My Blog has disappeared!!
OMG! I feel sick. I went to check my blog and everything is gone. Has anyone ever seen any thing like this before? Will it come back.
edit: I think it's a Wordpress server problem. Fingers crossed.

To say I'm pissed off is an understatement.

The work I've put into my blog entries since I started it on Friday has disappeared.
Thankfully it's my personal blog and my business blog is on my own server and database.
Not sure when they will appear (or if)

DarrenC, there won't be a problem with your privately hosted blog info, as those are blogs on your server/host, not the Wordpress.com system.
Can't say that for Robert Scoble though.... although my own host has been known to be down for hours on end.

You guys should host your own blog in the future. It's not worth it when this stuff could happen and it does, I hope you get it back soon Trapper and Darren. 
Host it yourselves and make regular backups and you're safe. 
Oh, neither of you had pink butterflies, could be the problem, I'm not too sure. Just put some up in the future to be safe. |

This is my personal blog though and didn't want to have the hassle of setting it all up.
I've this is a regular occurance - so for the small cost of hosting and mysql database I'll end up shifting it across this week.
I had some great stories lined up too for today  |

Wordpress lets you guys host for free on their servers?
I agree with Colleen, host your blogs yourself and do at least monthly backups and you should be fine with cpanel you can install wp in about 2 minutes... I think John said he's doing the hosting thing again... maybe he'll make up an inexpensive Blog package

Frustrating, but again, a good reminder to always backup. Even if you are hosting WordPress at WordPress.org you should have the option to backup your posts. Personally, I backup my sites on a weekly basis, just too much to lose.

Backups is the key word here.
But I ain't too sure on the pink butterflies thing though  |
