For a blog that was lucky to get 500 uniques a week, it increased to 1,000 last week and this week 3,000 unqiues. Mainly due to free publicity in a large UK newspaper, but also ranking on Google has improved.

Not sure why because I do very little SEO.

The translation to english only seems to work for the first page and while I could try educated guess's for what to put in the various places prior to commenting I would really prefer that english translation work for all pages.

I will check with my cable company as recently I requested an upgrade to 8megs and so far the very best which didn't last was 4megs.Prehaps my problem is also a Modem though it seems unlikely as it hasn't affected the connection itself.

I split the 10,000 between 3 blogs and it has worked wonders, all have 14+ subscribers and I got 1-2 comments per day from them.

My Google blog gets about 5 uniques per day and Advertisespace.com gets about 20 a day.

small traffic, but pretty good considering how bad I am at updating them.

You're being such a tease I think we'd all like to hear some good blog promotion tips! I'm actually just about to begin 'promoting' my blog (gaining some exposure outside my own groups) so I'd be all ears!

At any rate, to add to the thread, I post my stats on my blog each month (just began) so here are the stats for last month: http://www.clicknewz.com/72/april-2006-blog-stats/ . April 2006 was the first full month for this blog - launched mid March:

Unique Visitors in April 2006: 3,199

Small numbers compared to John's blog but I am happy with the growth. Most happy with my comment-to-post ratio. I currently have 66 posts and 427 comments.
