Question Will people read what I think is important?
I really want to sell off everything I own (online) so I can focus on something that I really truely enjoy, which is pretty much everything.

I am considering opening up a blog about everything I think is important from real world events to webmaster news.

How will I get people interested to read what I have to say? Or will they come if the content is good enough/revelant enough?

You're lucky I even opened this thread.

I think if your content is GREAT and you post a lot, you could do well. I don't think you should be too broad though.

Blog is a great way for sharing your knowledge. If your blog contains unique & fresh content then definitely visitors will come to your blog.

The best blogs are fill a niche, at least IMHO. The broader the blog the more amateurish it is and the less visitors it will receive, this seems to be what I have noticed. However, if your just one hell of a writer, you'll attract a 'broad' range of visitors no matter what.
