Wordpress permalink for blog posts

Hi Guys,
Need advise.

I have permalink set to post name "%post name%" that is ok for me however* I want all my blog post
should display like this.

Domain name/blog/postname >>> blog post name
*
What changes I need to make in my word press .. i.e to create a folder [ how to do that] or any other option in Wordpress.

To get the /blog/postname URL format, you would have to create a /blog/ folder in your web hosting cpanel account then move all files from the root directory to the /blog/ directory. Then you change the permalink name if needed.

Will you have another website located on the root domain if you move the blog to the /blog/ folder?


Note v7n forum is located in the /forum/ folder? The forum is installed in that folder.

but still my problem is there, i want some of the posts to blog in the URL not all of them...

i want some thing like this.

here is the example.

domainname.com/what-is-noun.html [ at present it looks like this ... Permalink set to post name .. which is good anyway]

but i want this way for some posts only..
domainname.com/blog/what-is-noun.html [ i want this for some posts only which i can put at my blog page.. ]

Sounds like your site is setup to use Wordpress as the content management system. If so, then the pages of the website section should be pages (instead of posts).

Create a category called blog. File your blog posts under that category. You can even have child categories under blog.

i think you must deleted your link and then please permalink again with full url completed (you must your url link copy paste in browser and then copy please input in permalink)
