Cool wordpress mu secure...

I would like to change the name of the generic wp-signup.php file. Does anyone know if there's an easy way to do this? for instance, if I want to change it to wp-signup1.php, etc. If I do it, is there any other places I need to update for everything to work correctly? Thanks...

you can just use htpasswd authentication for your admin directory, that would secure it.

I just grabbed this from Google, it should show you how to do it:

You'll probably have to look in Wordpress' core file, do a global search and replace for wp-signup and change it to whatever, save and re-upload.

Ok, makes sense...Another question: I'd also like to create a multiple blogging host similar to Blogger.com. I am leaning away from Wordpress MU for this purpose as it doesn't allow template editing by users, except in CSS, but I want something more powerful than that. I am well aware of BlogHoster and their suite. However I want something open source. Any suggestions or ideas?
