Some tidbits from someone who has been earning *good* money with Adsense for awhile:
a 1 month overview is not a good benchmark to go by. Although I do have to say this: You're doing well! Stay focused on what is working, but at the same time, experiment. Do NOT be afraid to experiement. Earning AdSense revenue with a new site (is it new?) takes some time. It's a marathon, not a sprint
Ad placement is crucial. Out of all the sites I've put up over the year to monetize, Arscompendium is my first in the blog/information arena. It's also a JERG site (Joint Effort Revenue Generation) site where I hope I, and my writers hit big. I'm curious to see whether the lessons I've learned in the traditional html world carry over to the blog world as well. Time will tell!
And I fully encourage writing on high or medium paying keywords. Targetted Adsense writing does produce results. I have full websites dedicated as an example of that mantra. Find a service that provides a reputable keyword list and get writing
