Wordpress Theme Using CPanel

This is wordpress site, I have cpanel information of the site. I need two things without accessing wp-admin (Administration Panel).

1. I need to activate different theme that is already available on the server.

2. I want to change theme colors manually.

How can I complete both task using cpanel?

Anybody can help?

Gadgetstree,

The process for activating a theme via Cpanel will be specific to your hosting provider. You could provide the name of your hosting provider and we might be able to help you or you may be able to contact your host and they may be able to tell you.

Changing the theme colors could be done using a code editor and an FTP client. You will probably need to edit template.css or equivalent file. Really we can’t help you much unless we know what hosting you are using and the specific theme that you have.

Maybe you can find more info here,

Best,

Shawn

Wordpress is the software used to create your website.

Your website files, including all your wordpress files, are all contained on a server (basically a computer that 'serves' the files onto the web).

Your server has an admin panel (in your case Cpanel)

So in answer to your question:
There is no connection between Wordpress and CPanel.
But all your Wordpress files can be accessed on the server using cPanel

WordPress themes are 'activated' via the WordPress admin pages (because they are part of WordPress they 'have' to be activated by WordPress)

The actual template files themselves are stored on the server and can be 'accessed' via CPanel and 'altered' or 'edited'. Using the cPanel details given to you by your hosting company, log into cPanel. About half way down the page you will see a 'File Manager' icon. Clicking on that opens a list of files, and on a WordPress site you need to go to the 'Wordpress admin' folder and then the 'css' folder which contains your template files. so they are at 'wordpress admin/css'

So:

To 'activate' a Theme you have to use Wordpress admin pages.

To 'access', 'edit' or 'alter' an already existing theme you can use cPanel.

Yes you can

You can change the theme color using the themes CSS via cpanel
public_html/wp-content/themes/your_theme_name/style.css

You can change the theme using phpmyadmin in cpanel
