Feedback on blogging for money

So, recently i started up a new site. http://www.arscompendium.com is an AdSense revenue sharing site where writers can partake in writing and having their adsense code displayed along with their articles.

Question: how many bloggers here currently blog for money (adsense revenue) and do WELL by it? Do you do it for a site like mine, or do you do it on a personal site?

I started the Compendium to be a large, informative site that has a section for writers to have their own daily blog, and then allow those writers to actually contribute relevant informative articles for the Compendium categories.

I think these JERG sites (joint effort revenue generation) will be a new wave to come, but time will tell whether it's just a fad or if it's something that'll establish itself over the long run.

Hi,
Can I just ask if the revenue from the adsense goes to the author of the article or to the site owner?

If that question is for me, the adsense ads get shown on a 1:1 ratio.

Blogging for money works

Blogging for money works for me. The time it takes to get rolling is definitely not a get rich thing. Its takes a long time to get enough high traffic pages to make the check worth while.

Here is the rub. If you dont like what your writing about....its waaaaaaay to long before the check is worth it. Its now about 2 years after the start of the buildingbodies.ca site (fitness keywords dont pay by the way) and now the traffic is at giving me at least a G a month. But fitness is what I do, so if the adsense wasnt there, I would still write to help my clients out.

When done this way, blogging for revenue works. The money is the icing.

I blog for money. I just started not that long ago, and it is going extremely well. Man, I don't know why I didn't think of doing it sooner.

I have been blogging in 8 adsense revenue sites.
I love blogging and if some money comes along, it is useful.

I have a few questions:
In the writing screen, there is a drop down menu beside 'Post' with 'Adsense-Delx and Adsense'.
What does this mean?

In my profile, you are not asking for my adsense id# but instead asking for my username and password. Why? None of other such sites are asking for login details.

Thanks for your time.

Mala,
I think you're talking about my site. There is no need to choose either of the drop down options when you post. The site places the codes automatically for you.

In the profile area (actually the dashboard), I've implemented a new feature that allows authors (and ONLY authors) to view their adsense earnings. I thought it was nifty to see what you're earning online at the site instead of logging into google to do it.

No, there's no password or account information being sniffed or captured by a human. It's all encrypted and used by the author when they log in.

There is a space in your Dashboard "My Adsense" where you do enter your adsense information in. This is where you put your actual adsense code.

Hope I've helped!

David
