There is nothing special that you need to become a blogger, you just have to have the ability to write good and interesting content that will make the blog visitors to come again. You should also update your blog every now and then and always try to create a blog on such topic in which you have interest. If your daughter has interest in travel then she should make a travel blog OR if she has other hobbies and like to do other things then she should make a blog on that particular topic. In this way she would be happier to blog often as it will not be a boring job for her.

If you want to be a blogger just create an id in gmail and go to bloggerand login with your gmail id and choose a blog name as you wish. This is a basic way to become a blogger. And if you want to get more traffic you need to do SEO.

For a girl of 16, TUmblr might be more in tune with what she wants. If she is into writing, one might suggest using WordPress.com and when she becomes successful, get her some hosting for her blog to step up her game.

Best of luck to her!

First, FOCUS. She needs to have a topic to focus on. Try to particularize the topics to deal and write a draft.

Second, a platform. There are a lot of platforms to use but be wise in choosing.

Third, write, write and write. Even though it is an old saying, indeed Practice makes perfect.

The total package would be: PERSEVERANCE.

The first thing I would recommend personally is getting her a personal domain name and affordable web hosting. After you've done that and configured your hosting package, install WordPress in the "httpdocs" or "public_html" section of the root. Last but not least, buy her a software package called Dragon Naturally Speaking. This will allow her to speak her blogs easy and faster than traditional typing.

Starting bloging is very easy just you need 2 things: passion for the topic you are writing and time for the blog.

Blogger means writing good blogs (posts or articles). Writing is never worthless. If she wants to be a blogger dont force her to do anything else. You can read the professional blog posts of successful bloggers to understand blogger means actually what to do ? I recommend to read shoutmeloud.com. All the best. . .future pro blogger. . .

She could start a blog in something she's passionate about and it helps to be knowledgeable in the subject the blog is about. This way she will be able to put out lots of great posts.

I recommend getting a domain and install wordpress on a good shared host. You can use jaxvps.com which is who I use.

It can take some time to become successful at blogging. But don't give up.

Think of the blog as a garden you've planted. You have to work hard at the beginning to get your plants planted and keep them healthy and growing. The same work goes for a blog or other site.

Plant your seeds, "which is your blog and it's posts" then keep the blog healthy "Keep adding to the posts" and to grow it you find traffic sources. Don't rely on the search engines to bring all the traffic.

Find other ways such as youtube, forums and other blogs. Just don't spam.

Good luck with the blog.

Chad

Before you proceed learn about the basic SEO at moz.com/learn/seo, after you learn a basic seo, you can choose blogger.com or wordpress selft hosted or not.
I'll suggest that you write about your passion, Example if you're Gadget Collector write your experience about that.
Don't forget to suscribe on the popular tech website like techcrunch, by doing that you will not dry on your passion.

Blogging is wasn't easy after all, because link building is hard to gain more traffic. It's really frustrating that no one reading on your blog post.

The only things that matter are:
1) Person should be interested in writing
2) Must be expressive
3) Should be able to deeply analyze and interpret different subjects and come up with genuine thoughts
4) Must be capable of grasping the reader's attention

HTML Tutor gave the best advice. You'll need to get your daughter small business web hosting. Then, install WordPress on it. Afterwards, acquire a good speech recognition program, so that she can use her voice to create content for her WP blogs. Last but not least, she needs to blog about something she likes to keep her target audience coming back to read more blogs.

First create your own account in Google and log onto "blogger." You'll be taken to a webpage where you enter your personal data such as pictures, your details etc.

Then create your own domain. You can purchase a domain for your blog for free at www.blogger.com. If you want register your own domain, download the WordPress software, and set up it on your website.

Write and publish your content.

Keep your content up to date and add content at least a few periods per week.

Keep a record of how many hits you get that is how many visit your website.

May I ask what's your daughter's goal to become a blogger? Is she planning to share her interests online? Blogging is like writing your own diary online, so a blogger has a passion in expressing her feelings through writing.
