Exclamation Contact Form Not Appearing In Wordpress

Hello,
I want to add a Contact form in my blog, I have created a page "Contact" and tried to edit the page with shortcode:

[contact-form]
[contact-field label="Name" type="name" required="true" /]
[contact-field label="Email" type="email" required="true" /]
[contact-field label="Website" type="url" /]
[contact-field label="Comment" type="textarea" required="true" /]
[/contact-form]

But, still not seeing any Contact Form in that section. I'm using an outdated version of WP, installed last year! so, I have to do this with Shortcodes, "Add Contact Form" tab is missing from my editor.

Help me out !!!

Try just this code only [contact-form]

Can you tell us the plugin that you are using? This will help a lot.

Example mine is just: [si-contact-form form='1']

and I use the Fast Secure Contact Form plugin

You might want to upgrade your wordpress version to fix all the security flaw's and have the latest version. Some plugins may not work in older versions

None! I googled and found these sample code for the users who has been using an outdated version. I guess I need to install plugins.
I'm terrified of .htaccess If I update my wordpress I would have to edit it (Not sure I'm right). This is the major reason I never clicked that update link!

The contact form plugins do have shorcodes to post in your page or blog post that will enable the contact form that you customized in your wordpress admin dashboard.

That sample code would not work.

You can use backup plugins or even backup your blog through your web host. Then deactivate all plugins before updating to the latest version. Then activate each plugin you have already 1 by 1 to see which ones cause problem's. Then find a replacement plugin in the plugin index. That's my advice to you if you are going to upgrade. It's a way to spot the bad plugin. I am sure your theme is outdated as well.

There are wordpress services online that will upgrade your blog and fix all issue's so it works perfectly for money. I never used a service like this though. I have always made sure my blogs was up-to-date. Even if it meant removing bad plugins and other stuff that could temporary hurt me in the rankings. In the long run it was a smart move.

Wordpress 4.0 is being developed right now. Should be out this year.
