1) If I type out the . as in typing "dot" and the like to a "link" I post in here it won't be associated with this handle or my posts on this board correct? (I mean through search engines and the like. I want to keep my blog completely seperate from my business stuff [I know, eventually I will just get another domain name and put it under that, but for now i'm using wp.com])
2) If that is the case, if I type out the link can someone please help me find blogs that are similar. I have been trying and I just can't find any.
3) (More of a request than question) Please don't review how it looks, I don't really care at this point what it looks like. Blogging is an experiment for me and I am eager to find other blogs that are similar.
4) Final question. If there really aren't blogs with a purpose like mine how in the world would I go about getting people to read it. In some ways my methods are completely unethical and would not be respected by anyone in the psychology field, yet it is too science (in an observant way) for regular G.I. Jane.
I am at a loss people and I would really appreciate some help in regards to this.
it will show sites that link to you and there pr. Then if they link to you ask for a link exchange.. or type in related search terms to your site in there and it will come up with related keywords , domains and there pagerank. That way you can easily find sites/blogs with good pr to exchange with.
well my site is prettygirlconfessions(dot)wordpress(dot)com.
And that would be a good idea if I even could think of search terms that would pick up something like mine. I have searched and searched for blogs like mine, and not one single thing has shown up. I don't even know what search terms it would be under, let alone anyone else doing this.
my target audience is any female.. heck I would even like some males to read it.. just to even out the views a bit. But I hope to reach girls who find themselves feeling inadequate or those girls who hate other women.
I hope to accomplish a better understanding of the way women interact and hopefully find better ways of dealing with those interactions.
What additional topics (other than those you provide) do you feel your target audience would have interest in?
Once you have determined who your target audience is, then it is just a matter of finding out other topics your target audience has interest in. The sites (blogs) covering those topics are those which would be related to your blog. In my humble opinion, the key isn't looking for blogs that cover essentially the same topics as you do, but rather those that complement yours, meeting the needs of both sites' visitors.
to be honest i have NO idea. Blogging and this whole thing is completely new to me. The only type of blogs i could think of trying to collaborate with were ones associated with beauty products.
I am still kind of stuckk on the idea of who would want to really read it thought. I am interested in this subject, but who would actually take this seriously or want to be associated with someone who admits to unethical practices.
Sorry for the double post... but on another note. How do you get links between blogs.. how do approach a blogger with a collaboration. I a webdesigner, and an introvert to boot.
The awesome thing about the net and blogging is finding out that you aren't alone -- there are others who think and feel just like you do. Keep writing and people will begin linking to you automatically.

Start reading blogs. When you find a post that sincerely interest you. Leave a well thought out response in the comments. Often times this will spark up some very natural conversations.
