ReviewMe Reviews
I'm wondering what ya'll think of ReviewMe.
I think it's going to be huge. The pay to post revenue model seems to be perfect for both the bloggers and the advertisers.
A few suggestions for the reviewme folks:
1. Instead of taking half, why not take a set fee per review, like $25?
2. Do NOT require that the blogger identify the paid review as a paid review.

No one has bought any from me, so I can't really evaluate it. But I do think its a great idea..... I mean, sure, bloggers/writers have been getting "bribed" to write since forever, and this isn't much different....but it makes it much more easier to make a connection between advertisers and those who are willing to write about them...

Hi John,
Not sure about this model, since most businesses are reluctant to pay for advertising unless they know what the advertising will look like. If I was a business, I would just approach a blogger directly and say, "Here is $100 (or whatever), give me a good write-up or let me post an ad". I think that eventually, this site will have to change its business model, and be more ad based, but I think it is, at least, a new idea.
What do you think?

i am real lazy ass when it comes to blogging.. but if someone is willing to pay me to do that, yeah why not
having said that i havent had anyone come up and say blog this for me yet..
personally, its almost similar to asking in DP or in here to get the members to blog and pay them for it.
only difference, you are getting a third party to act as an intermediary.

I don't know about this... I suppose I should first give it a try and see how it works, what they really want from me. I woulnd't like it to be paid for a lie.

Not a lie. If the blogger doesn't like the service / product he can choose not to review, which would be ethical. But saying it is paid devalues the blog post and identifies the blogger as a link seller.

John.. there are pretty strict rules on there though..like your blog needs a certain amount of traffic before they choose you..
I have just started with payperpost.. I will see how it goes..
