The Craziest Thing

For those of you with more experience than I, this may seem like no big deal...

But I have this one blog that always takes forever before code changes actually appear. If I add stuff or take away from the code it shows up at random times. It's hosted at Yahoo... but that's not the issue because I've played around with a couple of wordpress blogs there and I can make a quick change to the sidebar.php or index.php file, refresh the site, then voila! the new stuff is there. But with this one blog I have it's just so strange how long it takes. Sometimes it happens right away, sometimes it takes up to a full day!

maybe it's the template.

anyone ever experience that before?

cynovatron is liked by many
It sounds like a proxy server caching the URL? Or try clearing your internet history before you reload the page?

it actually reflected the differences about 10 minutes after I posted this. It's only on that one site though

how about if just PM ya?

Today, I added adsense to the sidebar and the header (well, to the index just below the header) and it took about 30 minutes before it displayed. In the past I've tweaked other things. Added or taken away from the sidebar, links, fonts, colors, etc.

Thanks for the PM, reason why I asked is because adding the "?1" after the url bypasses cashes from isp's in some cases and when your page loads fine showing the changes when you add that this indicates that your signal is cashed somewhere on line to your location. I've had that with my ISP that's why I know.

It make sense, but I don't *think* that's the problem. Because I had other people look at it one time and they saw the same thing. Although it could have been the same issue... either way it always seems to take... eventually
