Blogging Burnout?

Hi everyone,

I am brand new here and browsing some of the topics and was wondering if anyone else is experiencing blogging burnout? I love what I write about natural holistic pet care which can be seen at:

http://pethealthcaredogcat.blogspot.com/

and

http://petwithallergies.blogspot.com/

comments are welcomed.

Anyway, it's not the blogging but the stuff that goes with it, updating, improving, trying to get free traffic, adwords, etc. that has me totally overwhelmed. I am also doing this to make money so it is important to get exposure but I feel like I don't know whether to turn right or left or just move away from the computer. I have been putting in massive hours, even though I am just starting and it is well - getting to me.

Any suggestions on how to get the darn things off the ground without driving myself insane (almost there already)!

Thanks for listening.

Not yet, but I am spending this time before the first to get some drafts ready for my next 10 or so posts.
When the spirit moves you if you write as many subject ideas as you have in your head at the time, you will always have content.
Also, try and post regularly, (once a week, once a month) what ever your subject matter requires.

Question

Thanks for our comment. What I meant is not the writing part or content but the other stuff that goes with it. Basically trying to get your blog or website, for that matter, seen and all that goes with it can be very overwhelming.

Getting traffic for your blog, that converts into actual people that want to buy your product. Ever other ad is about getting traffic either free or paid but they all seem not to be effective unless you have tons of money to promote.

That part of blogging, I guess the business end (if you are in it to make some money too) is confusing and overwhelming. Wondering how other people are finding success or getting through that end of blogging.

Oh, I misunderstood. Don't feel overwhelmed its a lot to everyone not just you.
Mainly because what was good last year, doesn't fly so well this year.
All you can do is try and accomplish things one day at a time. No one can do it all.....all at once. Steady as she goes wins the race, and eventually you will find what works best for you and your product.

There are litterally 1000's of ideas and opinions and services, that will tell you they are the next standard, or the "New way".
If you think of it like any other business, the same rules of common sense apply.
I don't think I will ever be done with my blog. Everytime I look at it there is something that needs improvement.(right now I don't like the color or the header)
That's the nature of it all, don't stop moving, or you are dead in the water.

Blog burnout will probably increase in a greater sense. Now that everyone, their relatives, and their pets (including hamsters) have blogs the absolute saturated market glut will have to end somewhere. I have burnout from reading blogs and my reading time has plummetted in the past year. And though my blog remains simple and unadorned I still have trouble keeping the thing updated.

Blog, blog, everywhere a blog...
